The Universe works with us in ways that we’re sometimes completely unaware of. Humans are so caught up in this hectic lifestyle that society basically forces us into, that we tend to forget to slow down, take deep breathes and focus on what we’re really here for.
This past weekend, I came across a blog written by a beautiful woman named Ashley Neese. Her blog reflects all of the things going on in her life- from traveling, to her weekly “Friday Feels,” to how to practice different breath work. She seems to be a woman after my own heart. As you can tell, my blog has been where I come to rave about different beauty products, makeup trends, my skin care routine, and etc. Although my career is based solely around the beauty industry- I am well aware that the bigger picture in life is not about materialistic, physical items. I do not tend to show that side of myself too much on my blog or social media because I try to use the internet mainly to promote myself as a makeup artist and hair stylist.
Oddly enough, a couple weeks before finding myself months deep into reading Ashley’s blog- I stumbled upon an interesting article about how expressing gratitude can basically rewire your brain and change the way you look at the positives. You can literally send yourself into a higher frequency by finding gratitude in your day to day life. With that being said, Ashley has inspired me to create another section of my little space on the internet. One that’s a little bit more personal. Which is terrifying, because nothing freaks out an introvert more than going way out of your comfort zone. I think it’s only necessary to begin my little path into this more-personal corner of my blog by starting a weekly list of all the gratitudes in life that I am thankful for.
