I can specifically remember starting out as a makeup artist spending countless hours on YouTube watching new techniques, and practicing them all hours of the night on myself until I got it just right. As the Capricorn I am, I could tell that my practicing was paying off- my skills were good! But good wasn’t good enough for me, I wanted my skills to be considered more than that. I took a step back and picked apart everything about my collection and my work. I began to realize that what I needed for my work to really take off was to invest in a professional makeup brush set.
The Makeup Brush Set That Took My Work From 0-100 Real Quick
After going through Instagram and YouTube, I started to pay closer attention to what makeup brushes the professionals were using. Were they synthetic, goat hair, mink, nylon, squirrel hair, etc? After researching and looking at different companies brush sets- I finally decided to take the plunge and order from this company called Zoeva Cosmetics.
I initially chose to order from Zoeva because I was obsessed with how minimalistic and chic the packaging of their products were, as well as the whole esthetic of their brushes. Their brush sets look so professional and luxury, and they’re made with 100% natural/synthetic, vegan bristles! I’ve also just simple heard so many good things about the set. And the reviews weren’t wrong!
My makeup artistry work noticeably got so much better immediately after buying these makeup brushes. I was not aware of how much of a difference it actually makes to have a good, quality set of brushes. You can literally make any eyeshadow look good as long as you have a good makeup brush in your hand. Whether it’s a shadow from a drugstore clearance rack, or a high end makeup palette. A quality set of makeup brushes will ensure that your application and blending is thorough and seamless.
3 Eye Makeup Brushes That I Love
I am still so in love with my entire Zoeva Cosmetics brushes! The brushes that I can honestly say took my makeup artistry from 0 to 100 real quick are the Zoeva 228 Luxe Crease brush (pictured above), the Zoeva 227 Soft Definer, the Zoeva 231 Petit Crease (both pictured below), and the Zoeva 317 Wing Liner brush (not pictured.) Blending is key to every eye makeup look, and these three are the dynamic duo.
If you’re a beginner looking to find a new brush set that is well worth the money- Zoeva Cosmetics is where it’s at. I’ve had this set for over 2 years now and none of the bristles shed, the handles don’t come apart, they’re soft, they blend all of your makeup so nicely; the whole 9 yards. I can’t say enough about this brush set.
What brush set are you head over heals in love with? I’d love to hear what different brushes you have in your collection so I could potentially add to mine! I’m such a creature of habit so I’d love to add more of a variety into my brush collection. Leave a comment down below and make sure to follow me on my social media! xo
