Happy Sunday! Last night, I went deep into research about the beauty industry and the companies out there that test on animals. It truly hurt my heart seeing all the poor fur babies who are born just to be test dummies their whole lives for big name cosmetic companies. So, this morning, I went through my entire collection of beauty products and threw away everything that was not produced by a cruelty free company. After doing that, I went to my local Target, (obviously after stopping to get myself a Starbucks coffee because who goes to Target without a Starbs??? I’ll wait,) and treated myself to a huge cruelty free makeup haul.
Target has a couple cruelty free brands in their stores- including Pixi, Wet N Wild, Elf, NYX Cosmetics, and Physicians Formula. I was gravitating more towards NYX because it is one of my favorite drugstore companies- who also happens to be 100% cruelty free! They were also having a Buy 1, Get 1 50% off sale so I felt the stars were aligning and it was only necessary to grab a bunch of their products to incorporate into my Cruelty Free Drugstore Haul.
Here’s what I purchased in my haul:
- NYX Cosmetics Stripped Off Micellar Water
I’m so excited to try this Micellar Water! I had purchased the Garnier Micellar Water a few weeks ago, and I did love it- but Garner is not cruelty free, so I threw it out.
- NYX Cosmetics First Base Primer Spray
- NYX Cosmetics Total Control Drop Foundation
I think I’m officially the last makeup addict to jump on board and get this foundation. I’ll be sure to do a review on this foundation because I feel it has been a super popular product!
- NYX Cosmetics HD Photogenic Concealer
- NYX Cosmetics No Filter Finishing Powder
- NYX Cosmetics Doll Eye Mascara
GUYS. The L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara was easily one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used in my life, and I cried a little tossing it in the trash this morning. I’m hoping I like the NYX Doll Eye mascara. Leave a comment with your favorite cruelty-free mascara so I can try a bunch.
- NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss in Creme Brûlée & Madeline
Ok. These Butter Glosses are so bomb. As soon as I went out to my car from picking these up, I tried the Creme Brûlée shade. It’s not glittery at all, so it’s perfect for your “no makeup” makeup days, when you need a little somethin’ somethin’.
- NYX Cosmetics Micro Brow Pencil (Not shown in picture.)
I didn’t show this product in this photo because I’ve been using this brow product for months and months now. This is my third time repurchasing it and I can’t say enough good things about it. If you’re looking for a dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz- thissss is your product! It’s only $9.99 versus the Brow Wiz going for $18, and the color pay off is just as good.
