The drugstore makeup world has been slowly but surely stepping up it’s game the past year or so. Now more than ever, I am finding myself reaching for more drugstore foundations in my collection than I am for the higher end branded foundations. There is one drugstore dewy foundation, however, that completely stands out to me from the rest of the foundations on the drugstore shelves- it’s the L’Oreal Infalliable Pro Glow.
The L’Oreal Infalliable Pro Glow foundation has been my number one go to face product since it hit the shelves about 12 months ago. Since my skin is more on the normal/dehydrated side- with the occasional oiliness throughout my T-zone area, I am typically able to swing any foundation with the correct use of a primer to balance everything out. But, no matter how my skin is feeling, I can reach for this foundation and know it’ll work for me all day long.
I haven’t came across a drugstore dewy foundation that applies so smoothly and evenly as this one does. The consistency of this foundation makes the product spread really easily onto the face since it is rather thin and liquid-y. (Is that even a word??) Since it is on the thinner side, I do not need a ton of product to complete my entire face. It is also super buildable- if the medium coverage finish from one application isn’t enough, I will apply another thin layer to achieve a full coverage finish!
Personally, I find that this foundation applies best when using a damp Beauty Blender or beauty sponge. The combination of this foundation and the beauty sponge itself leaves my skin looking so healthy and radiant. I can keep the foundation by itself, or I will dust a translucent powder on top for days I know my skin is feeling a little more on the oily side.
This is my second time repurchasing this foundation and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. It’s such a great foundation for anyone who has normal/dehydrated or normal-dry skin. On the flip side, I do not recommend this foundation to anyone with super, super oily skin as it would be rather greasy and unnatural looking on the skin.
