Happy Monday, everyone! The other day I picked up the new Rimmel London Shake It Fresh Mascara at Ulta! I have seen so many beauty influencers and beauty bloggers raving about this mascara so I wanted to see what the hype was all about. I’m a huge creature of habit. So naturally, it is super hard for me to go out of my comfort zone and purchase a product that I have never tried before. But, the curiosity took over and I just decided to give it a try!
If you haven’t heard of this mascara yet, you’re probably questioning why this mascara is supposed to be so different and great. Rimmel London created this mascara that contains a “shake system” that will refreshen the mascara to prevent the mascara from drying out. I haven’t had this mascara long enough to review whether or not the shake technology actually works. I’m just going to go over what I think of the formulation of the mascara.
Unfortunately, I was not super blown away with this product. I don’t see what the hype was all about. The formulation of this product gave me a more natural finish to my lashes than I had wished for. Due to the small, hair like bristles of the applicator, I don’t think it gives off much volume or creates enough length. I like my mascara to give me the works. I want fullness, but not too clumpy. Length, but I don’t want to look like I’m about to take off. Ya’ know? If you’re looking to naturally emphasize your lashes without going over board, then this is the mascara for you!
Looking at the glass half full though- this mascara is truly a clump-free mascara, which I absolutely love. I just wish it gave me more volume and length. I loved using this mascara on my lower lashes! I don’t like using a bunch of mascara on my lower lashes, so this mascara will be great for that. This Shake It Fresh mascara will also be a great product to use to apply after applying strip lashes to blend the natural eyelashes with the faux ones!
Have you tried this mascara yet? What were your thoughts on it? Make sure you leave a comment down below so I can hear your feedback.
